Samantha Greene

This is Samantha, our onsite Manager with one of our boarding dogs.  She loves dogs and all animals, and will be there to take excellent care of your dogs during their stay at Barks and Recreation. She is very knowledgeable about dog behavior and loves to play with all our dogs. The owners and dogs have nothing but praise for Samantha.

Ollie Greene

This is Samantha's  dog Ollie. Ollie is our resident onsite dog and owner interviewer and he is good, and an excellent judge of character.  He loves Halloween and thinks he can fly.  Be sure to say hello to Ollie or he might pout.

Danielle Hendeson

Come meet Danielle, our groomer and part-time helper. She is a great addition to our Barks & Recreation family and we are very happy to have her on board.She is an excellent groomer, great with the dogs and we know you will just love her.​ We have already received excellent feedback from the dogs she has been grooming.

The Proprietors

Gail Lanier and Steve Moore are a married couple originally from Nashville.  Steve is semi-retire from the healthcare field and Gail continues to work in the healthcare field, commuting from Nashville to Gatlinburg.  Steve spends most of his time in Gatlinburg working with the business and his other business of designing websites for small businesses.  Our passion is each other, our 2 boxers, our kitty cat and traveling.  We want your dog to have the very best experience in all of the Smoky's.  Let us take care of your special pooch today.
